wish you were here!
i have to show off my room! haha.. and communal showers and toilet!
well, room is looking very very ordinary compared to everyone elses. They have tvs, vcr, huge framed picture, pot plants, carpets, stereos etc etc. Does not look like a dorm room at all. Mine still does.. sniff. have to take a picture to show yall.

It's soo entertaining to watch americans also! like they are so funny.
The students move everything under the sun into their rooms!! (like some with 2 carloads full of stuff) and compared to us international students who arrive with a backpack. so funny! It's a family affair!

I moved into my dorm a few days ago. the best room on campus!! =)
well.. it's one of the bigger rooms. Provided are-- a bed, desk, chair, fridge, microwave, curtain, lots of cupboard space, shelves, mirror, etc etc. Will be sharing with room mate- local Pennsylvanian.
She's coming in tomorrow and bringing a tv/vcr/ stereo, rug etc. so that's gonna be great! Yeah- no longer ordinary. (i think)

School (ie university) is going really well.
lots to do- running around like a headless chicken. it's such a huge campus--
takes so long to get from one end to another. Am so sick of walking.

Oh- they love their Penn State merchandise. Parents go crazy buying sweaters (ie jumpers) and t-shirts, shorts etc. They wear it with such pride. no idea why!
haha.

Oh- squirells dropping acorns-- now that was amusing to see too. well, didn't really see the squirrels in the tree above, but saw acorns dropping.. one by one every 10 seconds or so.
so i'm assuming it's a squirrel. Lots and lots of them around here.

bought a football game ticket-- Nittany Lions (PSU) against South Florida. Cost $US19- not bad at all. For non students- US$42.

They have the Bryce Jordan Stadium-- on campus-- which houses concerts, ballets, shows whatever.
They are having Sherryl Crow and Incubus in Sept. They have housed Janet
Jackson, David Copperfield, Elton John, NSync, Britney Spears, U2, Kiss,
SmashMouth, Goo Goo Dolls, etc etc. Lots of famous ppl.


Things you don't need to know but will tell you anyway-->

Freshman- 1st year uni
Sophomore - 2nd year
Junior- 3rd year
Senior- 4th year

you can join the gym for US$30 - for one session. includes pool, fitness
classes, weights everything. They have like 3 gyms on campus!
2 pools (indoor) and one outdoor and lots of tennis courts, bball courts, one skating rink etc.

That's about it so far.

i have to go and check out Target now! hehe.

should be exciting.
